DESCRIPTION:This will be our first Charge & Chat meetup and it will be a special one! In the future we plan to do these monthly at different superchargers throughout South Florida. For our first\, we are teaming up with Tesla Owners Washington. We will be heading down to the Marathon Supercharger in the Florida Keys\, the southernmost US supercharger\, and Tesla Owners Washington will be heading to the Blaine Supercharger\, the northernmost US supercharger. During our meetups we will  connect both our groups with a virtual meetup. \nWell\, that was the original plan… but wait\, there’s more! Tesla Owners Hawaii will also be getting on the virtual call with us. They don’t have any superchargers yet\, but let’s be honest\, they live in Hawaii\, we don’t feel that bad for them…I guess they will just have to meet at the beach or something. DESCRIPTION:We are heading back to Homestead Miami Speedway\, for Fast Lane Friday  on Friday\, December 18th\, 2020. \nJoin us and drive your Tesla down the 1/8th mile drag strip! \nThe Plan\nWe will meet at the Florida City Supercharger  around 5:15PM to “top off the tank\,” then will head out from there at 5:45PM for the 10 minute drive over to the track. \nIf you can’t make it to the supercharger\, just head over to the track when you can…we’ll be there for at least a few hours. Just look for the group of Teslas when you get there! Keep in mind that as the night goes on and it fills up\, it takes longer between runs\, so the earlier the better. \nIf you plan to go\, please RSVP below so we know you are coming. \nThe cost is $20 (if paid in advance\, $25 at the track).\nSpectator fee is $10 in advance\, or $15 at the gate and kids 12 and under are free. \nThis fee will be paid directly to the Homestead-Miami Speedway\, so make sure to purchase tickets in advance on their website or be prepared to purchase at the gate on the day off. Like we have done before\, many times in the past\, we are going to Cape Canaveral\, at the Titusville shore\, to be exact\, to watch the launch of another SpaceX rocket launch. \n\n\nThis is a very special launch. After the successful demo launches\, NASA and SpaceX are sending the first crew of astronauts\, on a mission to the ISS. This is no longer a validation test flight. Crew Dragon has been certified for human flights to low earth orbit and the International Space station. \nWe are inviting you to join us to witness the launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 carrying astronauts to the International Space Station\, marking the beginning of this new era of space exploration. \nLaunch schedule\nDate: November 1th 2020\nTime: 7:27pm EST \nWe are going to attempt to watch the launch together\, as a club\, from the Titusville shore\, in a public location\, that is about 11 miles from launchpad 39A. \nThe location we are going to be watching the launch from\, is a public area\, that has a clear view of the launchpad\, and if we arrive there early\, we may be able able to park all our Teslas together. Please\, do keep in mind\, that since it is a public area\, there is no one to enforce COVID-19 social distancing regulations. We must all do our part\, and be responsible. \nSince the location is basically an open waterfront passive park\, I like to use the address of the restaurant that is exactly in front of our “viewing area”. \nAddress\nEl Leoncito\n4280 S Washington Ave.\nTitusville\, FL 32780. \nThere is a good chance\, that I will drive over the night before\, on Friday\, November 13\, and “camp” in my Tesla\, or at the latest\, be there in the morning hours. As a club\, we are merely a group of friends with a common interest to have fun with our Teslas\, and to help others do the same.
