DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, July 23\, 2022 we will go out for some fresh air at Markham Park in the city of Sunrise. Markham park is where we had our club’s first meetup. It’s a great opportunity to get together and enjoy the sunshine. \nUnlike past park meetups\, Tesla Owners South Florida has reserved shelter #2.  So we will have dedicated picnic tables\, a roof over our heads\, and a charcoal BBQ grill available. When you come through the gate you’ll make the first right and then follow that road until you see the Teslas on the left (Google Map Pin). Bring snacks\, food for the grill\, a football\, tailgate games and anything else you’d like to consume to stay strong and hydrated while at the park. \nThe park Shelter rental is coming from limited club funds from previous donations and merchandise sales\, so if anyone attending is able to make a small donation\, it would be much appreciated. You can donate by clicking here. If you’ve been to a regular Falcon 9 launch before and are thinking the Monday morning launch time doesn’t sound appealing\, but have never seen a Falcon Heavy\, then think again. This thing is bright and loud!!! Check out this video Justin took from the 2019 launch at Kennedy Space Center (YouTube). \nThe Falcon Heavy launch has been moved to November 1st at 9:40AM ET. Since this moved even deeper into the week\, we understand that most people are unable to camp out the night before or even attend. However\, some of us are still moving forward with the original plan as stated below\, except for the new date and time. Because there is always a chance for rocket launches to change\, this will be our last attempt to coordinate for this one. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, December 17\, 2022\, Tesla Owner South Florida will hold our closeout event for 2022 at our tried and true location of Markham Park. \nLike the last Markham Park meetup\, we have reserved a shelter. This time we are in shelter #4.  We will have dedicated picnic tables\, a roof over our heads\, and a charcoal BBQ grill available. When you come through the gate you’ll continue straight and then follow that road until you see the Teslas on the left in the parking lot. Or better yet\, just put this Google Map Pin in into your car and let it drive you!  Bring snacks\, food for the grill\, a football\, tailgate games and anything else you’d like to consume to stay hydrated while at the park. \nThe park Shelter rental is coming from limited club funds from previous donations and merchandise sales\, so if anyone attending is able to make a small donation\, it would be much appreciated. You can donate by clicking here.\nLast Markham Park meetup we had enough donations for that event to cover the rental\, leaving funds for this final 2022 rental and other club expenses. DESCRIPTION:We are heading back to Homestead Miami Speedway\, for Fast Lane Friday  on Friday\, April 28\, 2023  \nJoin us and drive your Tesla down the 1/8th mile drag strip! \n***IMPORTANT NOTE***\nYou must wear long pants if you want to race! \nThe Plan \n\nMeetup At Supercharger – 5:15PM\nWe will meet at the Florida City Supercharger  at 5:15PM to “top off the tank\,” then we’ll head out from there at 5:45PM for the quick drive over to the track.\nLeave Supercharger and Head To The Track – 5:45PM\nIf you can’t make it to the supercharger before 5:45PM\, you’re welcome to join us at the track. Keep in mind that the way this is structured racers wait in line in car on the track\, so it makes it difficult to link up if we don’t start in a group. But we will use our private club chat to help coordinate onsite so please check in there. \nYou can also join just as a spectator if you want to watch some races\, but don’t feel like getting on the track yourself.\nPost Race Dinner at Sonny’s BBQ (at the Florida City Supercharger) – ~8PM\nWe will race until about 8PM when the lines become too long with hour long waits between runs.
